Trillium Fund in Multiple Myeloma Research

The Trillium Fund was established in 1982 by an anonymous donor to support multiple myeloma research at the UW Carbone Cancer Center.

100% of your gift to this fund will be used for multiple myeloma research. To date almost $1.5 million has been raised through this fund. Your gifts are used to collect the necessary data to apply for large federal and other public and private grants that support MM research. It is estimated that for every $1 invested in the Trillium Fund $12 more dollars are generated.

The Trillium Fund has had a profound impact on multiple myeloma research at the UW Carbone Cancer Center. The fund currently supports the work of several scientists, physicians, and graduate and undergraduate students connected through the UW Carbone Cancer Center to focus on finding better treatments and ultimately a cure for multiple myeloma. The program has grown from a small research study and patient base to a program helping over 200 patients across Wisconsin and Illinois receive world class care. Donors to the Trillium Fund are invited to an update every couple of years.

The Trillium Fund was established by our founding support group members to facilitate Multiple Myeloma research here in Madison at the Wisconsin Institute of Medical Research.
